Finding Their Passions

Sanford students enjoy vibrant, productive extracurricular experiences that enrich their lives and contribute to the life and identity of our school. In addition to exploring their varied interests and passions in meaningful ways, students deepen friendships, develop leadership abilities, hone social skills, often forge connections with students across the whole school and have a lot of fun together.

Did you know?

The Sanford Environmental Action League (SEAL) and Service Club members help to protect and preserve our environment and communities by actively helping by cleaning up the green roof, planting a bee garden, supporting a food drive, or leading other initiatives.
The Upper School literary magazine, Inscape, consistently wins honors for its quality from the National Council for Teachers of English.

Lower School

Lower School thoughtfully folds a variety of experiences and opportunities into the curriculum and into each school day. Through the lower school’s buddy program and clubs available to older students, elementary students connect with schoolmates across grades and classes.

Middle School

Middle School club offerings vary from year to year, based upon student interest. Many are service-oriented in response to students’ natural desire to make an impact.

Upper School

High School students’ interests are dynamic, so our list of clubs can vary from year to year. Under faculty advisors’ guidance, students form, lead, and participate in clubs and activities. Clubs typically meet during the school day. Depending on the club, activities may occur on evenings and weekends. Each club’s mission may be different, but they share the goals of building community, leading, and serving as students prepare for college.
