Our school-wide theme this year is “Our Stories”. We all have a role to play in Sanford’s story. At the start of each new school year, our community comes together to support Sanford through our annual giving program, the Sanford Fund. Hundreds of current parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, and 100% of our dedicated faculty, staff, and Board members contribute each year.

From Monday, November 11, through Friday, December 20, we are challenging our parent community to reach 100% parent participation in the Sanford Fund. The grade with the highest parent participation in each division will win a special Sanford prize. If you have already supported the Sanford Fund this fiscal year - thank you! Your gift will automatically be counted in the participation numbers for this challenge as well.

Why does my participation matter?

High participation is a vote of confidence, a sign that parents support the school's mission and believe in the value of its educational goals. By striving for 100% participation, we demonstrate a unified commitment to providing the best possible environment for our students.

Moreover, a high percentage of participation is crucial when seeking financial gifts from external sources, such as grants. Many foundations and funding organizations assess parent participation rates before deciding to contribute funds to a school. A strong participation rate reflects a vibrant, engaged community that values its educational institution, thereby increasing the likelihood of receiving much-needed financial support.
