Middle School Ensembles Win Top Prizes at Hersheypark Music Festival
Sanford Middle School’s band and choir ensembles received high honors during their trip to the “Music in the Parks” Festival competition at Hersheypark on Friday, May 8th.
The Fifth & Sixth Grade Chorus and Seventh & Eighth Grade Chorus both earned first place with a “Superior” rating. Seventh & Eighth Grade Band was awarded first place with an “Excellent” rating, and Fifth & Sixth Grade Band won first place with “Superior” rating, as well as the overall award for best elementary concert band. Students enjoyed a day of fun at the amusement park after their performances.
