At Sanford, No Talent Lies Latent. We provide unique opportunities, incredible faculty and mentors, and an unlimited worldview that encourages students to be themselves, express themselves, and challenge themselves as they grow into extraordinary individuals.
The Sanford Fund plays a critical role in the financial health of the School. It fills the gap between what tuition covers and what it actually costs to educate a Sanford student. Your support helps with all expenses, from teachers' salaries to equipment and supplies for the classroom.
The Sanford Fund is sustained by gifts of every size at every level. We encourage every member to make a gift that is meaningful to them. Our leadership-giving circles begin at $2,000.
Watch our video to learn how your gift tangibly supports the Sanford experience.
The Sanford Fund, formerly known as the Annual Fund, runs from July 1 to June 30 each year. While you're welcome to give at any time, there will be mini-challenges throughout the school year with added incentives to join in!
Parent Participation Challenge
Each fall, we invite our community to support the Sanford experience. As an added incentive for our current families, we challenge each grade and division to reach 100% class participation. Throughout the fall, you’ll hear how your gift makes a direct impact on our students and teachers each and every day. You can give now or pledge now and pay later. Every gift, no matter the amount, helps us reach our goal.
Do More 24 Delaware is Delaware's largest Giving Day, where hundreds of nonprofits across the state participate in 24 hours of philanthropy. This exciting initiative, powered by the United Way of Delaware and Spur Impact, allows your gift to Sanford to go even further. Thanks to generous local sponsors, all organizations that participate are eligible for additional cash prizes based on dollars raised and donor participation.
Gratitude Challenge
Each spring, during Teacher Appreciation Week, we encourage our community to show their gratitude with a gift in honor or in memory of their favorite Sanford teacher(s). The Sanford Development Office notifies every honoree with a handwritten note, and Sanford treat. This challenge serves as a meaningful opportunity to support our community and the individuals that make it so special.
