Sanford School has been growing and evolving to meet the needs of students since its humble beginning in 1930 with seven students. Since those original seven, the school has provided an exceptional learning experience to nearly 4,000 students.
Today, that growth continues with Exceptionally Sanford: Expanding Our Reach, Nurturing Our Roots. This $10.5Mcampaign will impact all students from preschool through grade 12.
We invite you to learn more about Exceptionally Sanford. Together, we will continue a legacy of growth and evolution to ensure that "No Talent Lies Latent."

Recognition Opportunities
Please contact the Development Office to find out more information about recognition opportunities related to the capital projects, as well as endowment investment priorities and named endowed funds.
For over 50 years the Nancy C. Sawin Math/Science Building has served Sanford well. Extensive renovations will bring new life to this building as well as to Pirnie Hall, creating flexible spaces and improved learning environments. Project outcomes include an expansion of STEM courses, an increase in labs, and the incorporation of more active learning in math classrooms.
Wilson Hall and Town Hall were dorms until the 1980s when they were joined together to form Sanford's Middle School serving grades 5 to 8. Middle School projects will improve the learning environment and physical space for our 178 middle school students with updated air filtration and a new green space adjacent to the Middle School.
Albright and Yearsley Hall hold 210 students in grades preschool through 4. With a 56% increase in enrollment for this division over the past 5 years, the Lower School is at capacity. A two-story addition will expand the footprint of the building, adding five additional rooms and expanding the nurse's office, which serves all 687 students.
The Sanford Endowment is a critical school asset that must grow to meet demands. It is a collection of funds that is invested to generate yearly income, supplementing tuition and Sanford Fund revenue each year. Build your legacy at Sanford with an endowment gift, benefitting the school in perpetuity.
