6. Kenneth D. Jones Memorial Chapel
Mother Sawin and the school built this small chapel in loving memory of a long-time member of the Sunny Hills faculty who died in North Africa in World War II. The Chapel has been renovated twice.
Some of the chapel's noteworthy history and elements include:
- Unique stained glass windows, imported from France, which are cataloged in the Library of Congress
- Being one of the very few buildings constructed during World War II because of the limited availability of steel.
Plaques acknowledging the chapel's restorations are on the outside walls, and they read as follows:
