Krape '26 to Represent Sanford at DE Poetry Out Loud Competition

On December 4, 2024, Sanford School hosted its annual Poetry Out Loud Competition. The event culminated yesterday with ten Upper School finalists competing to represent Sanford at the State competition.

Congratulations to the ten talented Upper School students who performed in front of their peers, teachers, judges, and family. Performances were evaluated on accuracy, interpretation, stage presence, voice, and articulation, and each grade representative delivered an outstanding recitation.

Winner: Abby Krape ’26 — Abby's winning recitations included Flowers by Cynthia Zarin and Trying to See Auras at the Airport by Angela C. Trudell Vasquez.
