Sign Up For Facebook

New to Facebook and need help signing up? Follow this step-by-step guide.

  1. Go to Facebook and enter in the requested information to get started. When done, click the "Sign Up" button and enter the letters displayed in the images to proceed.

     
  2. Once you have signed up, Facebook will make a series of suggestions for trying to find friends you may know on Facebook. You can choose to use these, or click on "Skip This Step" to continue without doing so. On the third step, you can enter in your school information and graduate year - doing so may make it easier for other alumni to find you.

     
  3. When you've completed or skipped all four steps, it will take you to your home page. This is where you will see the latest news from all your friends and pages you've added to your account. To find the Sanford Alumni Home Page, go up to the "Search" bar up top and type in "Sanford School Alumni Office" and click on the search icon (magnifying glass) next to it. Click on the "Sanford School Alumni Office" page in the search results. Alternatively, you can just click here.

     
  4. Once you've found the Sanford School Alumni Office page, you can click on the "Become a Fan" button next to the title of the page to add this to your list of pages you're associated with on Facebook. This will allow you to make comments on any postings by the group, find other alumni in the group and have all the latest news postings from the group appear on your Facebook home page.
